The Joy of Love - Day 8 - What a Loved one has given me

Today I could think of nothing better than showing you what a very special loved one has given me.  This is my Grandma, the one in the middle, with my sister, Allison, and my son, Reece.

We were in Michigan in the above photo.  Here she is again with my mom, Allison & myself at Al's high school graduation.

My Grandma has given me, among many wonderful things, my fabulous mother,

wonderful memories,

and THOUSANDS of shopping trips to Springfield!  But this is the best thing she's ever given me.

This is a glass chicken, and yes, it's pink and blue.  My Grandma likes chickens, and has decorated her house with them.  She keeps these glass chickens on a shelf above her front window, and whenever me and my siblings were at her house, we would quietly switch the lids on her chickens.  It may have been days before she realized all her chickens has mismatched tops and bottoms.  So for Christmas a couple years ago, she sent each of us (me, Ryan & Al) a mismatched glass chicken!  I LOVE my mismatched chicken, and it will always bring me special memories of my Grandma.  To my unfailingly generous Grandma, a simple "thank you" will never be enough.  I love you!
